African Dance Class

New African Dance Class $10/ class with an option to purchase punch card /10 classes for $90. 

African Dance can be described as : High spirited folkloricdances expressing narratives of the African Continent. Fast-paced and rhythmic, these total-body workouts also provide a powerful cultural experience. Live Drumming accompanies every class.

Instructor DeenaBurks' 13 years of experience includes study with internationally acclaimed master artists from West Africa with in the U.S. such as: FaraTolno (Guinea)LesMerveilles deGuinea, YoussoufKoumbassa(Guinea) Les BallestAficains, MoustaphaBangoure (Guinea)Les Ballet Africains,Djeneba Sako(Mali)Troup Kantis,Babacar Nidiaye(Senegal) National Ballet of Senegaland AzizFaye(Senegal)National Ballet ofSenegal, as well as three months study abroad in Guinea and Senegal.

Deena's undying love of this Dance and her passion to share its culture is evident in her fun spirited presentation of this art form to her students!

Join us on this joyous celebration of culture. The traditional drumming and rythms of West Africa are sure to set your spirit soaring as we dance our way through this rhythmical journey.

The Drumming Class immediately follows the African Dance Class.
